* The items used in this party from Oriental Trading Company were provided to me free-of-charge to review. All opinions and ideas are 100% my own.
Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!
Last week I threw a Halloween party for my son and his little buddies.  It was super fun, but also super exhausting.  Throwing a party for ten four-year-olds is not for the faint of heart.  But my son loved every minute of it, and we had a ball preparing for the party together, so I am really glad that I did it!

This Halloween party came to pass when Oriental Trading Company asked me to review a product for them.  I went online to choose a product and simply couldn’t pick just one item!  I wrote back proposing a party and was thrilled to get the green light to go forward with it!  Yay!  That very night my son and I got online and perused the amazingly huge selection of Halloween crafts and Halloween party items and decor.  It was hard to narrow it down!

The day prior to the party we decorated cupcakes.  I had an idea to make really beautiful monster cupcakes that would be super cute and highly “pinnable,” but my son had other plans.  He wanted to decorate them himself.  ALL of them.  So I pulled out a bunch of random stuff and let him go to it.  He is the cutest, don’t you think?!
Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!Let me show you the finished goodie table and then we can zoom in on each individual treat idea.  This table was my favorite part of the final party layout!  Some much kiddie fun!

To create this table we used the following items from Oriental Trading Company, along with some serving dishes that I already had:
*  a colored tablecloth
*  spider tablecloth
*  a pumpkin pinata
*  Boo Bunch dessert plates
*  black napkins and cups
*  pumpkin stickers
*  Haunted House Cupcake Holder  (Isn’t this KILLER?!?!?!  I LOVE IT!!)

Did you notice the Banana Ghosts and Spooky Marshmallow Dippers from past posts?  Both are super simple and fun for kids to make with you!  Be sure to check out those past posts!

Now let’s take a closer look at the healthy options that I put out on the table: jack-o-lantern clementines, banana ghosts, and monster mouths (apple slices with peanut butter gums and mini marshmallow teeth).  I just love cutesy food for kids.  You can trick kids into eating almost anything as long as you dress it up!

At this party my boy and I decided to do three crafts and three activities.  Let’s look at the crafts first.  Here are the three craft kits that we chose from Oriental Trading Company:
*  Halloween Photo Frame Magnet Kit
*  Jack-o-Lantern Bucket Craft Kit  (I thought it was stickers, but you need glue for it, just a little FYI.)
*  Color Your Own Halloween Crowns

The kids had a ball doing their crafts!

Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!Aren’t they all cute in their decorated crowns?  🙂
Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!Once the crafts were over we had a special spooky visitor: my boy’s Bapa (aka my dad).  Growing up my mom threw us great Halloween parties, and she always convinced my very reserved father to be a vampire and make a “brew” at our parties.  He dressed up and went all out!  I was telling my son about this tradition and he got his heart set on Bapa being a vampire for his party as well. I feared it would be a bit scary for the age group, so before he came out we talked about how Callum’s grandpa was going to pretend to be a vampire and make a spooky drink.  Here is how it went:

Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!Most of them look pretty wary, but my boy (in the Jack Skellington shirt—of which the tutorial will be up very soon) looks thrilled.  After the brew was made, complete with “magic” dry ice we discussed that the “blood” was just water with food coloring and that the brew was really root beer and then kids got to check out the “magic” steaming potion and blow the steam around.  They are too cute.  I absolutely love this age!

Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!Time for games!  I painted a pumpkin bean bag toss game onto a huge cardboard box, and then we stacked toilet paper rolls with faces drawn onto them with markers for ghost bowling.  Finally, we stuffed a pinata with some Halloween candy and banged it up in the yard.  So fun!

Such a cute Halloween party full of kid crafts and darling but simple treats!Thanks to Oriental Trading Company for sending us the items to use and review during our kid-friendly Halloween bash!  Be sure to check out their website for great party supplies and amazing prices on craft supplies and kits!  And as a little extra bonus, I just noticed that all of their Halloween stock is on sale!  YAY!

Have a spoooooky day!

    We are going on day 4 of crown wearing. If we are at home E is wearing his crown. “Mom, this is so special to me.” He tells me every night as he puts his crown in a secret place that Annabel can’t get to. Ha! He had a great time. Thanks for a fun party!

    Um… I kind of want to throw this Halloween party!! I think I’ll do it next year in Brazil– mostly because I won’t be pregnant and I’ll plan ahead a bit more.
    And I LOVE Oriental Trading Company! For the last two years, I’ve just bought their party packs for my girls’ birthday party, and bang! theme, decorations, plates, cups, everything. It’s my one-stop shop.
